The Conspiracy in Apartment 1123

After a late-night debate with his conspiracy-obsessed best friend, a skeptic’s reality is upended when shadowy figures begin to follow him through the city, leading to a chilling conclusion on the “truth.”Heavily inspired by the great paranoid thrillers of the 1970s (All the President’s Men, The Paralax View, The Conversation), I was drawn to make a short film about the concept of “conspiracy.” Two friends on a cold winter’s night watch Oliver Stone’s JFK and engage in a heated debate over the assasination. The two friends, James Long (protagonist, skeptic) and Lee Harrison (friend, believer) go back and forth on the nature of the assassination and the belief that Long possits might just be the truth and causes his journey home to turn treacherous. Avoiding giving away anymore details, I aim to make a movie that both fits in the vein of those classic films while also providing what I believe to be a unique spin on the genre. NEEDS: Producer - a fellow passionate individual who can help with the logistics to get this project over the finish line. I am open to and encourage collaboration of all my crew and cast. Director of Photography This in particular will dictate equipment needs. Ideally looking for someone who works well in a noir-esque and chiaroscuro visual pallate Cast James Long - the protagonist of our story. A skeptic thrown into a whirlwind of danger that challenges his worldview and his life! A role requires some physicality and endurance as the characters runs through the city trying to escape the forces that are chasing him. Shadowy Figures - 2-3 different people in non-speaking roles and shot in the background.
