A missed flight and a reluctant night out in a strange city challenge a sheltered South Asian woman’s perspective of freedom on her first night in America. We are shooting Weekend 7 of the Spring Quarter.

In this Martial Arts comedy, a timid newcomer to a self-defence class and her reluctant mentor must Belt Up to overcome bullies, learn the power of friendship, and grow up as they train for a gruelling physical competition. This film is written and directed by Alex Pomorski, a Grad Film & TV student as a part of his independent study class. It is a fun script and is shooting in the 2nd weekend of Spring Quarter

Looking for Cast: Gabbi: A Social Media influencer in her early 20s who seemingly has her life together but is exhausted by the superficiality of her life and yearns for a genuine human connection. Kendra: An introverted barista who suffers from a crippling case of low self-esteem, made worse by her obsessive compulsion to follow social media influencers. Phillip: Kendra's boss at the coffee shop and her friend who genuinely cares for and worries about her. Mid to Late 20s. Followers: Gabbi's 3 consistent followers.
