Echoes through ashes is a melodrama short film. Grief drives an apprehensive teenage girl to hoarding as she struggles in her relationship with her homophobic father. After losing her mother and coming to terms with her queerness, all rules seems to be out of touch and Halia begins hoarding to cope. She lives her life for herself and lovingly urges her girlfriend to let loose. Frank: Lead, male middle aged to play a father, any ethnicity. Frank means well but his limited world view leads him to act in malice. He hasn't dealt with the loss of his wife and feels his daughter is walking a path of sin and must be stopped.
